Early Arts and Craft 19th century chair with barley twist legs and stretcher. A small and comfortable chair. Tapestry has wear but very beautiful none-the-less. The seat deck is upholstered with a wool antique damask. The inside back and cushion are in a William Morris style tapestry. The cushion is horsehair. Deaccessioned from the MFA.
Chair measures 32.5" tall from floor to top of back. Seat height is 20" to top of horsehair cushion. Seat is 19" across and 16" deep.
